Flow Steps

A Flow is made up of multiple steps, which perform specific actions or routes the call in a certain way based on the call information or user input.

A user can edit the configuration of a step by clicking on the desired step in the flow tree. Any configuration changes made to a step are applied instantly.

Standard steps

Name Icon Description
Call asdf Forward the call to one or more phone numbers or SIP endpoints.
Play asdf Play some audio back to the caller using either using your media library or TTS.
Menu asdf Give callers several keypress options in your IVR menu. You can even group options if it makes sense for you.
Date asdf Route your incoming calls based on specific date ranges in the year.
Time & Day asdf Route your incoming calls based on days and times of the week.
Route by State asdf Route calls by the caller's location. State routing is only available for Australian states and only works with Australian 13, 1300 and 1800 phone numbers.
Go To asdf Route calls through to a step in the same flow or to a different flow all together. You can also route calls to a URI as well.
Proportional asdf Split traffic between multiple pathways to implement split testing, to balance traffic or to introduce variability into your flow.
Record asdf Record the call audio for the entire call or just when it is bridged.
Voicemail asdf Allow the caller to leave a voicemail. You can have this sent to multiple recipients via SMS or email.
Fax asdf Attempt to receive an incoming fax. You can have the fax sent to multiple recipients via SMS or email.

Premium steps

Flow also provides premium steps for you to use which can incur an additional cost.

Route by Postcode asdf Give callers the options to enter a postcode to find the nearest location available. Route by Postcode is only available for Australian postcodes.
Route by Location asdf Route callers automatically to the nearest location. Route by Location is only available for Australia.
